My Duet Wifi first time connection, brings a Heater 1 - Fault.
-
Have configured my duet wifi board for the first time which I just received.
somebody can explain why, when connected to the browser...It says Heater one Fault... The board is just connected to the PC...
anybody can advise if this is an ambiguous remark or a fault proper? -
Be sure you activate Tool Zero. One easy way is a
T0
At the end of the config.g
And, generally check things around your tool and heater configuration...

@danal
I have nothing hooked up. I just connected the board via wifi for the first time and I hope it is not a fault with the board.. I jsut connected it to the PC via the usb and set up the wireless network. Nothing else... -
@mendelevium you heaters reads 2000C (probably because no thermistor is connected). That is why it marks you heater as fault.
-
Could you upload your config.g or wherever you have your heater config stored? I think I was having this same issue...

Having no thermistor connected, a fault is CORRECT behavior, the board is saying that sensor has an impossible reading. Even when not heating, it should sense "room temperature".
All good.
