    Piezo Orion...Has anyone got it to work?

        There is not much in my config to do with this. My issues getting it going ware more hardware based this is a snippet of my config file.

        ; Endstops
        M558 P1 I1 R1 F300 A3 X0 Y0 Z0
        M574 X1 Y1 Z0 S0; Define active low and unused microswitches

        ; Z Config
        G31 X0 Y0 Z-0.1 P600; Set Z probe trigger value, offset and trigger height
        M557 X35:280 Y35:280 S40; Define mesh grid

        These might be of help.

        1. Probe the bed(Hot) with a cold hotend and the fan off with thermal control. (Might be an issue not having an always-on heatsink fan)

        2. My bed is held up on PCB mounts not springs if you use springs might be worth making sure they are compressed.

        3. I did play around with the mounting for my printer and redesigned it has the standard hot end mount failed on my printer

        4. I found probing multiple times helps pick up issues forgetting to clean the nozzle etc

        5. The Z offset of G31 can change depending on the build bed surface I am using.

              @adam2070 Are you concerned about the amount of weight hanging below the Orion? It looks like you are losing a lot of Z height.

                @3dmntbighker I totally agree with you and that is one of the reasons. I have not released the files for the design. I plan to change the fan setup as well as save some Z hight. I am also considering changing over to a Mosquito Hotend.

                On the auto levelling side, I am happy with the Orion over the IR setup I was using before.

                  Hi,

                  I am interested.... from some days, i have a Precision Piezo Orion, and cant do it work fine...

                  The first, i have doubts if the problem its the clamp to hotend, i have installed a Prometheus V2, and de clamp its for E3D... i have draw, and print a similiar clamp.... but i have the dude, if this is the problem...

                  Second, in my personal clamp, i haved try PPO (Precision Piezo Orion), but he works of strange maner, some points detects correct, but other points, the nozzle touch hard the bed... and could not finish the calibration ... and less the compensation ...

                  Third, I do not know how to adjust the potentiometer that has PPO, also in the videos, it seems to be a screw head, but my unit I have to do it with pliers

                  Someone have mounted PPO with a Prometheus v2???

                    Have you found the hole that allows you to adjust the potentiometer from the top side of the board? You'll need a small, flat blade, screwdriver.

                      mmm .... the mistake is that I did not use a flat screwdriver, I used a screwdriver (star) ...

                      Now, the question is ...

                      I moved the potentiometer ...
                      How can I find out the central point? (there is some reference)
                      Can a multimeter be used?

                        If you look at the bottom of the board you'll see that the adjuster of the potentiometer has a flat side. To return to the centre position that flat side should be parallel to and closest to the short edge of the board.

                          Ok... but how know it is correct position, or its turned 180º...

                            That looks to me like it's 180 degrees out of position.
