Y Axis randomly stuttering

I tried to start using my printer again and now have this issue where Y randomly starts stuttering. I've tried swapping X and Y and both work fine, I swap them back and both work fine, I start printing and it gets to a random place and the Y starts stuttering - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGNJ-XlJy3g I've also tried breaking the harness up and pulling that wire away from everything else. This printer has worked before and I've changed nothing other than originally updating to the current 2. beta but I tried going back to 1.21 and the issue still exists.

I could be wrong but it sounds like the belt is slipping. It could be loose or the bed may be crashing with something.

Bed isn't touching anything and belt is not slipping.
I did map E1 to Y and it's been running now...I don't know how or why the Y driver got messed up

So I was able to finish a print using E1 as Y but now lacking a driver for the second extruder...
Is there something I'm missing that the driver works fine for a short period of time then starts the stuttering? After power cycling the printer (unplugging it) I'm able to home and jog the machine but usually once I start a print it starts the stuttering (either immediately during homing or when doing the skirt) and then this stuttering seems to persist even through emergency stops and resets of the Duet. I tried taking the acceleration of the Y axis all the way down to 50, as well as lowering max speed change and max speed considerably with no improvement to the issue.
Something to note that this is the first time using Cura with the printer, I'm not sure if there is some code it is sending that is screwing up the axis or not. I will try tonight to slice with S3D to see if the issue persists but I have a feeling it is driver related due to E1 working fine.

I took a look at the Cura generated code and there is nothing present in the lines before skirt printing that would change any of the settings. I use the same startup code in Cura that I was using in S3D so I'm really not sure why it's failing.

If you are certain that it is associated with one motor driver in particular and can't be an intermittent connection in your wiring, then it's probably related to temperature. Here are a few possibilities:
- Driver overheating. It shouldn't be because you have the current set to only 1050mA. But when the fault occurs, run M122 several times and see if there are any overheating reports for the drivers. Also touch the driver to see if it is hot.
- Bad soldering on the motor connector on the Duet. Unlikely, but check that it looks OK from the underside of the board.
- Bad soldering of the motor driver to the Duet. Unlikely, but not impossible.
- Bad soldering of the microcontroller to the Duet. This is plausible, especially if you can see any of the gold plating on the PCB where the microcontroller is soldered on to it.

The driver felt a little warm but I can't tell if it's any warmer than the others.

If your board is still under warranty then I suggest you ask for it to be repaired or replaced. The soldering on pin 119 of the MCU should be checked and the Y motor driver probably replaced.
