I just wanted to say a great big thanks to all at Think3dPrint3d, DC42, Chris Ham, and the whole wider reprap community. Got my Duet Wifi and finished off the wiring. Started to commission the printer thinking that it would take a few days. It's my first scratch build and only my second printer (the first was built from a kit). After only a few hours, all the axes are moving in the right directions by the right amounts (CoreXY), all the heaters are working, DC's Z probe does what it should, all axes can be homed repeatably and reliably, all tools defined (three input mixing hot end), the web interface is all set up so I'm almost ready to load some filament and start dialling things in. This is from a 63 year old hobbyist who's background is mechanical engineering, with limited experience of 3d printing, so credit must go to those who have contributed to making the process so easy. Great product, great service, great documentation and excellent support. Thanks guys.

PS The printer is so quiet too!!

PPS Happy for any of you to use the above as an endorsement in any way you wish.

Ian, thanks so much for your feedback. Really looking forward to seeing your first prints!

P.S. the additional axis expansion board is a project for this weekend so hopefully will have something in the post to you early next week.

          Hi Tony,

No need to rush. We are flying out to Oz next Thursday for my daughter's wedding. We get back on 26th but I'll only have few days before my daughter and new son-in law arrive back in the UK for part of their honeymoon and "wedding part 2" which will be on 8th Oct here in the UK. (Life is so unfair - one daughter, 2 weddings). So realistically, I won't have much chance to do anything with the printer until they go back to Oz which I think is 9th October.

              Hi demonio,

              Thanks for showing an interest.

              I posted details here
              https://www.duet3d.com/forum/thread.php?id=89

I don't know how to put pics directly into posts on this forum so they are all in a shared google drive folder, arranged by sub folder

              Here is the link again.
              https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B_MwtHtQR_ZvSkZlRWphTnJ3X0k?usp=sharing

If you want to get an idea of scale, take a look in the folder "Extruders" and open the jpg "EntirePrinter1.jpg". You'll see that it just fits through a doorway with about 35mm to spare sideways and 260mm to spare height wise.

Nice, congrats! I just got my (first) wifi in too, and I'm contemplating on whether I should save it for my new cartesian prototype, or put it in my delta in place of the 0.8.5. Besides quieter operation, I'm not sure if there is much other reason to replace the perfectly fine 0.8.5, is there?
