Is there something that needs setup to get the remaining time to work for filament and layer? The only one currently working for me is the file progress. I use Cura with Marlin code.

@tjb1 can you post the gcode file that is doing this? Is it all your files or just that one?

Why not use reprap gcode flavour?

I just started using Cura. I did find a post here that was 2 years old mentioning the filament timing not working on Cura and it was going to be added in 2.4? I believe. The print last night was spiralize/vase mode so maybe it couldn't get an accurate enough layer time to work. I will post a gcode file tonight but currently it is all of them.

I actually noticed the same thing, but with Simplify3D. It used to work, and I don't think I changed any relevant settings in S3D, but layer and filament have stopped working, somewhere between firmwares 1.2x and 2.x.

I am on 2.x and they are working with Cura 3.4 and slic3r but I temember reading somewhere that Duet takes the info from the gcode so it might be something in the slicer setup.

I sliced some things with Simplify3D last night and all 3 times were working.

If you're using S3D 4.0.0, upgrade to 4.0.1. There's a bug in the earlier version that can append a few megabytes of null characters to the end of the gcode.

@garyd9 That's very interesting and I do have the garbage at the end of my S3D-generated gcode.

Downloaded S3D 4.0.1 and verified that all three print time estimates are working again. Thanks!
