      Dear all,

      I have a DuetWiFi 1.03 + Duex2 0.8 running from a 24v power supply. Power is connected using 2.5 sqmm wires. I want to place Duet and Duex boards side by side, how long can I run the power cables from Duet to Duex?

      Thanks in advance.

        See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Duex2_and_Duex5_Features#Section_Wiring in particular the second bullet point in that section.

          @dc42

          Hi,

          I've connected them as described in the wiki, with wires of length 70mm between Duet and duex board. To do so I've to place the boards on top of each other. Would it be okay if the wires are say 150 - 200 mm long?

            Hard to say, but 200mm is longer than I would be comfortable with.

              Is there a maximum resistance for the ground cable which is possible?

                @akhilraju, it's not just the resistance, it's the inductance too.

                  @dc42 Ok. ☺ . So maybe I should test if 200 mm is working?

                    If there is a problem, it will manifest itself when you exercise stepper motors and possibly heaters on the X2.
