    Hi,
I pulled the wires out of the pins that are in the black connector for the hotend. What tool do I need to remove the pins from the connector.

You mean on the Smart Effector? Or which connector are you referring to?
If so, the pins are Microfit Jr, you can do it with a paper clip, just flatten an end.

The 6-pin connector is a Molex Microfit 3.0 and unfortunately it needs a special and expensive tool to remove the pins. It's easier to cut it off and fit a new connector. That's why we supply a spare connector shell and extra crimp pins.

We'd prefer to use a connector where the pins are easy to remove, as with the 8-way Molex KK connector that is used for the low voltage wiring; but we couldn't find one that has a high enough current rating.

As said, I made good experience with a paperclip. Flattened one end, put it between the connector and the housing, wiggled a bit, other side. Et Voila.

Yep that's the connector. Wow I only received one black connector with mine. I will try to remove the pins.
            Thanks.

No, I got thru Filastruder. It had extra pins and two extra 2 pin connectors. But Only one 6 pin. But That was back in Feb. so it is very possible that I miss placed it but I have to other ones. So no worries I ordered a couple from Amazon and will have them next week.

Is this the correct tool for removal?

                    https://www.digikey.com/products/en?mpart=11-03-0043&v=900

Site says its 22 and some change. I know I only got my grade ten, but thats not that bad when you think about having to buy a new connector, crimp terminal metal thingy and a new fan when they go out. I made my own by taking a small screwdriver to a grinder.....

That tool does look correct. I can only assume that they have introduced it recently, because last time I looked the only suitable tool was much more expensive than that.
