DuetWiFiFirmware minor release 1.15c

Just ran test print with the last config i posted. Still have the extra Extrusion when the extruder starts the next shell line. note i am just printing one layer with this test prints, and in this case i am just printing two complete lines around the part. the passing it to look at the print.

I still don't understand you tool definitions. Tool0 (P0) is fine using the first extruder (D0) as is Tool1 (P1) which uses the second extruder (D1) but then you have a third tool (P2) using the third extruder (D2) which doesn't exist. It's the same for your fourth and fifth tools - the extruder doesn't exist. After that, you have a T4 command to select the 5th tool (T0 being he first) but there is physically no 5th extruder associated with it.
Assuming that you hot end is capable of mixing, then you need to define the tools accordingly. Something like this
M563 P0 D0:1 H1 ; Define tool 0 to use both extruders
G10 P0 X20 Y0 ; Set tool 0 axis offsets
G10 P0 R0 S0 ; Set initial tool 0 active and standby temperatures to 0C
M568 P0 S1 ; Enable mixing for tool 0
M567 P0 E1:0 ; Set mixing ratios for tool 0 to use 100% of the first extruder
M563 P1 D0:1 H1 ; Define tool 1 to use both extruders
G10 P1 X20 Y0 ; Set tool 1 axis offsets
G10 P1 R0 S0 ; Set initial tool 1 active and standby temperatures to 0C
M568 P1 S1 ; Enable mixing for tool 1
M567 P1 E0:1 ; Set mixing ratios for tool 1 to use 100% of the second extruder
M563 P2 D0:1 H1 ; Define tool 2
G10 P2 X20 Y0 ; Set tool 2 axis offsets
G10 P2 R0 S0 ; Set initial tool 2 active and standby temperatures to 0C
M568 P2 S1 ; Enable mixing for tool 2
M567 P2 E0.5:0.5 ; Set mixing ratios for tool 2 to use 50% of both extruders (or whatever mixing ratio you want)Then repeat the settings for P2 to define the other tools with different mixing ratios.

My hotend dos not a mixer. its a Standerd Quick-set hotend. dont have any interest in a Mixer.

Forgive me for being cureas, but how is this going to fix my issue with the motors being drive on when they are not supposed to be. I mean this gcode is that same as i used on the Old Duet. So should it not print the same or maybe beater? I can see issues with the Controller not doing well with bad configuration, but that is fixed right?
So fixing the Config.g is a Good place to start. but non of the changes i have made, has solved this issue. Do you guys want me to run a File with a Specific gcode in it? For Debugging?
I mean i can configure it into thinking its got a Mixing hotend, but I don't have a mixing hotend to test it with.
-
Should i be configuring the Step mode on the Stepper motor drivers? if so what would be the equivalent to the default mode in the Duet?
-
Sorry old Duet, Example: M909 X3 Y5 Z2 E3
-
Sorry, but I'm just trying to help. I just don't understand how your printer is configured. You said
Quote….......
Extrudes: 2
Hot ends: 1I indeed fead different Filaments into one hotend (2 feeds).
...........end of quote. From that I assumed that it was a mixing hot end. Now you say that it's not. So I'm not sure what you mean. Do you have two extruders but only use them one at a time?
In your config.g you have tools defined to use 5 extruders, 3 of which which don't exist and you have a T4 command which selects one of these tools. I have no idea how the firmware would react to that but it is clearly something that needs correcting.
-
ReRap firmware doesn't use M909. Use M350 instead. I believe the default is 16x microstepping with interpolation.
-
Correct, i use one extruder at a time. I have a Jig that feeds the filament from 4 extruders into one mounted in the middle of my boden tub
-
Now you are saying that you have 4 (or 5 ) extruders when previously you said 2. I have no idea how you can be driving them all when the Duet WiFi on it's own only supports 2 extruders. Sorry but I'm going to have to give up with this.
-
Guy, how is the jig operated? Do you have 4 seperate extruder motors and 1 hotend or 1 extruder motor and the input is somehow switched?
-
4 separate extruder motors and 1 hotend. Its just a train track for the boden tubes. the jig is not connected to any electronics. just maniacal. no moving parts. Any one can print it

OK, but the Duet WiFi only has 2 extruder drive outputs, so how are you driving the other 2 extruder motors?
-
not right now, wating for the new expansive board

Sorry Expansion board

Got [dc42/RepRapFirmware] M572 Loosing steps in XY email, was able to reproduce on my printer, but it made my over extrusion on line changes worse. Hop info helps
-
OK, i put new E firmware in. and Still had the same problem. So i put this into the Config.g file:
M572 D0 S0.00 ; Set extruder 0 pressure advance
M572 D1 S0.00 ; Set extruder 1 pressure advanceproblem is not as bad. in fact just a little bit of Extrusion error now when the program moves to the beginning of the next line

Ok, got it to work, this is what i ended up with for a Configuration:

Are you certain that setting nonzero extruder pressure advance in M572 is causing a problem? Also, have you checked on the web interface or by sending M115 that you really are running firmware version 1.15e? Firmware updates do fail sometimes.
-
No Actually, it just helped. Things started working right when i put the M667 S0 and the M500. I can set the M572 D0 S0.00 to something other then zero. Whats a Recommended value to start with?
