Hi there,
i´m still waiting for some 24V parts, so i can work on the firmware.
but there are some questions.- my PSU sits behind a SSR. with ramps, i used the ps_on pins. relais+ to 5V, relais- to the ps_on pin. In the slicer i added:
M109 R40
M81
can i let it like that?
where can i get 5V from? (i need 5V for the part cooling fan as well, a hint would be really nice)- Fan0 should be the part cooling fan, Fan 1 temp controlled hotend fan and Fan 2 temp controlled duet board fan, i found a bit in the gcode section, but just to be sure:

Looks to be okay. You can get 5V through a USB charger on the USB connection (easiest way). Personally I seldom connect that because the board itself will be always on. I connected a pushbutton to the SSR to be able to bypass the relay. If you put an M80 at the beginning of the config.g you will be able to let go of the pushbutton within 2 seconds, and the board will close the SSR for you.

There is an "Enable Auto Sleep" option in DWC that runs stop.g after a print has finished. From there I wait until safe temps are reached and then it M81's the system down. That way I can choose during a print whether I want to go to bed or stay up to print a second job (without shutting down). Ofcourse for that to happen the browser session must be kept open (so the PC has to stay on).

OK didn't know about that Auto sleep function.
Is there a special pin that gives me 5V after M80?
I planned to take a normal 5V pin for the ssr. How long takes the duet when connecting the psu to make his own voltages? 5 and 3,3V? -
Yes, there is a 3.3V and a 5V pin at the expansion slot. For the Duet 0.6 (I have this oldie!) and 0.85 it is Pin 1 (+5V) and pin 3 (+3.3V). See: https://reprap.org/wiki/Duet_pinout. You will need to check if the newer generations duet have a different layout, I don't know... These pins almost instantly generate their voltages. The reason you need to push ON for about 2 seconds is for the M80 command in the config.g to be processed.

Yes, PS_ON is an open-drain output that is pulled low when you send M80 and released when you send M81. So connect the negative SSR control terminal to it. Connect the positive SSR control terminal to any of +3.3V or +5V or +VIN. You will need a mains-voltage push button in parallel with the SSR mains terminals to provide initial power, and a M80 command in config.g to turn on the PS_ON output when you press that button and the Duet starts up.
In your RAMPS setup you were probably using +5V from the USB port to provide power for the SSR control terminals.

Ramps don't need M80.
5V from an AUX Port to ssr+ and the minus to ps_on pin. And the Button to short the Relais.Adding M80 to config.g should not be a Problem

Ramps out, duet in.
axis movement and endstops correct.
Bed heating works.
temp controlled Board fan works.No Problems so far.

which pins could i use to get 5V?
Best near the ps_on and fan pins. i need 5V for the part cooling fan and for the SSR.there are some 5V pins near the fan connectors, V Fan and ext 5V Jumper. could i use one of them for both? or is it better to take one of the LCD connectors and one of the expansion connectors?

The SSR driven from the PS_ON pin can probably use anything between +3V and +32V - SSRs are usually marked with the acceptable input voltage range.
+5V can be found on the expansion connector and on the PanelDue connector.

Correct, the voltage from the Part cooling Fan is different. It's a Kind of exotic type. But small and powerful. I will Post a picture from the hotend construction.

Hi,
Shut off works, the ssr positive gets 24V directly from the psu.
5V Fans are working, too.First print was in slow motion. I don't know why. After a reboot, the Speed was ok.
but not as fast as with ramps.
speeds in config.g are on the todo list.After the heater tuning, i got a message. Heater overpowered or something similar. Should i decrease the pwm?

That message is very common, especially since E3D started shipping silicone socks with their hot ends. Reducing the PWM won't make it significantly safer.
