I installed my BLTouch, and it seems to be responding to deploy/retraction, test, and reset commands just fine, however it will not stop the Z axis once I tell it to Home Z, or when I send the G30 command to probe the Z offset.

I double-triple checked my wiring and g-code commands, but for the life of me I can't seem to get the machine to respond to the probe, even though the probe responds to the firmware just fine. I made sure that the probe is set to deploy lower than the nozzle, at the recommended distance, but even when I bring the Z axis up, and test the probe by activating it and touching it with my hand, it still reacts, but does not stop.

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Would need to see your config.g and homing files.

I believe I was experiencing a similar issue.

I found that this suggestion corrected my problem:

"If you connect your bltouch and when auto homing the sensor doesn’t register & the z axis keeps dropping pressing into your bed, turn your printer off, disconnect the power and invert the black and white connectors in the z limit switch header (put black where white was, put white where black was)."

I pulled this from this from The complete BLTouch/3DTouch guide for Creality printers (CR-10/s,Ender 2,Ender 3) for Auto Bed Leveling by dannyw281.

I hope this helps you out. I know it was a great relief to me. Granted this was on another brand of printer, but when it comes to the behavior you are experiencing I don't think the wires care what brand the printer is.
