      Getting close.

It's a cube 150mm x 150mm x 0.9mm thick. i.e 3 layers. Translucent red PLA filament printed on cold blue painters tape 0.5mm nozzle, 0.3mm layer height (3 layers). It's difficult to judge surface finish from a photo so I laid it over some text where the distortion would show up more. Pretty chuffed with how things are going so far.

Waiting on some Print Bite so I can try the heated bed (plain shot blasted glass didn't work as I had hoped it might). Small parts are fine but adhesion is not good for large parts.

Very nice. Have you tried 3Dlac directly on glass? If not give it a try. Works fine with not heat.

Thanks for the tip - I'll give it a try.

Up until now, I've always use Kapton tape on glass and became quite proficient at fitting it to the bed of my old Mendel but that was only 200mm square. This one is 400mm square and I really can't be bothered to try sticking Kapton to it.

Yeah tape is a real pain in any form. 3Dlac for PLA and Dimafix for ABS and Polycarbonate.
