k-type thermocouple isolation to hot block is it necessary

hi, not to sure on this
do you have to isolate the thermocouple from touching the metal on the hot end block. I saw something in setup talking about isolating the thermocouple from the hot end and I am not sure what they meant or how to achieve this.

Yes. You can get mineral-insulated cartridge-type thermocouples that are already insulated.

this is what I got not sure if this one is the right one -
Look up its specification to see whether the thermocouple tip is insulated from the housing. Or check using a multimeter.

ya this one is Fibreglass insolated from the right up on it .on the hunt again think spool3d has one that looks right
