I'm having serious issues tuning my bowden setup, some people pointed out that my acceleration and jerk settings where a bit high. could you guys help me out? ps: I use a 600mm bowden

Hello @Gear , on my Kossel mini BMG bowden I am using accel 3000, max speed 1800, jerk 1200, current 1400. and in the slicer for PLA I am using 4mm of retraction at 30mm/S retract/prime speed. I get excellent quality retractions.

            E120.

be aware that if you use pressure advance such a low e jerk value will slow down your printing speed

Approx 500mm (printer's currently printing so not exact measurement)

@gear I agree that your extruder acceleration and instantaneous speed settings look low.

Here are the relevant values from my configuration but bear in mind that I use 5 Bondtech BMGs with a Diamond 5 colour hot end and my Bowden tubes are only about 150mm long.

@deckingman @burtoogle which such high jerk values don't you find your extruder to make a louder sound, this might have put my off at first.

I don't think it is very noisy. The Titan I had before was much noisier, it went clack, clack all the time but the BMG is quiet.

That's exactly what I found too.
