      Hi,

      I have a delta printer...

When I do a Autocalibration, for DWC (G32), adjust the M665 valours?

See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Calibrating_a_delta_printer#Section_Auto_calibration. There is a section about saving the calibration results.

          Hi,

Why it's better 6 factor calibration than 9 factor, in a Delta?

7- and 9- factor calibration both adjust the rod length. But the rod length is easy to measure. Also, to get good information about the rod length you would need to probe well outside the usual printable area. So any adjustments that the firmware makes tom rod length are usually not because you have entered the rod length incorrectly, but because of geometrical errors in the printer that the firmware can't compensate for directly. So we recommend that you use 6- or 8-factor calibration.

              Another dude....

Suppose I select 7/9 factors calibration.... And before a print I do a calibration....

              This calibration...

              • Its in effect for the next print?
              • Or after restart?
              • if results of these calibration (changes in M665), not correspond with real measures. How I can proceed?
              • How can check the valours in M665?
              • I am interested in know more about this method. There are some source of information?

                Another...

In general with I do Autocalibration by DWC... After finish firmware reports results... But sometimes, I do not know why... After finish autocalibration, don't report anything. This is correct? Or exist some error?

                One more...

I do Autocalibration before each print... But I have read in wiki, that autocalibration erases height map, generated for bed compensation...

                • I must do a bed compensation, after calibration?
                • bed compensation previous results affect to calibration?
                • the correct step by step?

Which version of DWC are you using? There is a known issue with DWC 2.0RC3 in this area. DWC 1.22.6 works properly.

On a delta, the only height map you can have is the one generated by G29. Auto calibration doesn't erase that, but it does disable it. You can use G29 S1 to reload it.

If auto calibration fails (e.g. with a "Z probe was not triggered during probing move" message) then it won't give a calibration report. So look at the GCode Console page to check for error messages.
