I am running a few test prints using Cura for slicing. I have the speed in cura set to 60mm/s but when I print I am noticing I am actually running at 100mm/s. Am I missing something or is this normal? I didn't think that my config.g max speed would effect what was actually set via the slicer. Unless of course I tried to run faster than max.

Where are you seeing 100mm/s? The speed display on the DWC shows the current speed and requested speed. Perhaps you're seeing travel moves?

@phaedrux That is what I thought too but its pretty constant 100mms in requested and top speed. Just eye balling the printer compared to my other printers this thing is MOVING! lol.

@tytn Well the firmware will only execute the feed rates it's commanded to by the slicer, so I'd start looking there to see if there isn't something else going on.

Can you post the gcode that's doing this? Should be able to see what the commanded feed rates are and the setting used.

Unless of course @Tytn has turned up the speed factor.
