Micro USB OTG to USB Camera
-
Is there a way to use the micro USB connection to use Webcam? I have a few OTG cables from old phones and thought well i can connect them but is the "firmware/Hardware" there for it to work or even a way to get it to work.

@SLKittie no, the Duet 2 is a DUSB device not a USB host and does not support OTG. You can use an IP camera that is separately connected to the network and show the output in DWC.

Ahh thank you. i was hoping that was not the case, as i have a webcam spare but not an IP cam, didn't want to have to buy a new camera. and i thought as i have micro to usb adaptors and the micro isn't used, but ah well thank you for the response

The easiest way to turn a usb web cam into an IP cam is to add a Raspberry Pi W running MotionOS.

USB connection to use Webcam
you can take +5v and GND from board and solder it to separate USB plug
