i'm trying to get my duet 2 WiFi working on my tevo tornado, and am running into issues with the BLTouch

everything seems to be working, but when I have it probe the bed I get
      "G28
Error: Z probe was not triggered during probing move"
but it sure looks to me like it was.

it sure looks like it detects the bed, it hops back up, probes the bed again and the printer reports that it is homed.
      it's really confusing.

any suggestions where to look / what to change?

      here's my wall-o-configs

How did you get a trigger height of -5.25?

honestly, i'm not sure how i arrived at that.

i think i was trying to set the Z offset, but yeah, it doesn't make sense.

so i went back and set it based on the procedure here http://www.sublimelayers.com/2017/05/fdffsd.html
              and arrived at G31 X-45 Y-5 Z3.7 P25

it seems to like that, but it thinks zero is 2.2mm above the bed. how do i fix that? i tried setting the G31 Z to 1.5 and also 5.9 (assuming i didnt know how it was counting...) but it made no change.

how do i set the z offset on this?

Remove this from your homeall.g and homez.g. You definitely don't want to force the z height after you've used the probe to find the real height with G30. This explains why changing the offset had no effect, because you are overriding it.

I have a feeling that your bltouch may be mounted a bit too high as well. It should be mounted so that the base of the probe body is 8mm above the nozzle tip. When installed correctly, the trigger height will be around 2mm.

Once you've done that, recheck your trigger height with this procedure: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Test_and_calibrate_the_Z_probe#Section_Calibrate_the_Z_probe_trigger_height

Then you can rerun your G29 if you want to use it.
