I have fitted the latest v3 bltouch on my new build and on start up It does the self test then stops with pin up and led red but the pin does not deploy if say i home axis
Any ideas would be appreciated -
Can you post your homing files?
If you were using an endstop previously, you would need to alter the homing file to do a probing move instead of an endstop seeking move.

It is a new core xy build I selected the bltouch when doing config.g before I loaded it I will however post a pic of the wiring and the config.g and home settings shortly as only just got home
