@notausername What changed? did you flash new firmware or..? Some possible causes:

      • Something plugged into the board has failed causing a short preventing the board from getting enough voltage to start, unlikely if the LEDs are all showing but try with nothing plugged in and only USB power
      • The firmware is corrupted - Try erasing the firmware and the re-installing the latest stable release using fallback procedure #3: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Installing_and_Updating_Firmware#Section_Fallback_procedure_Num_3 Note you should read the WhatsNew notes for the firmware versions in between the one you were using and the new one.

@notausername the fall back procedure 3 shows you how, assuming that a reinstall will fix the problem. Worth working through the link that dc42 posted

@T3P3Tony I have poured through all of the fallback procedures and all of them either didn’t apply or didn’t work. All the fans and lights work but no external device will recognize it.

With nothing other than a USB cable plugged in, and with the firmware erased, it does not come up as a BOSSA port? Try a different usb cable as well.

@notausername and the BOSSA port? If nothing then I suspect the board is damaged.

@t3p3tony No detection of it at all in any form. Tried with different software, USB ports, usb cables, and computers. When I power the printer on everything works but I can’t access web control because I don’t know the ip because I can acces it on the computer

                        1. When you says "everything works", what do you mean by "everything"? Does the printer work, and if so, how are you controlling it? (from an LCD perhaps? What sort?)

                        2. Do your PCs run Windows, Linux, or MacOS? If it's Windows:

                        • Open Device Manager, expand "Ports - COM & LPT", and see if anything changes when you connect or disconnect the Duet. Also look out for an "Unknown device" showing up in Device Manager.
                        • Try a different USB port, and/or reboot Windows. Windows sometimes gets into a state in which it is unable to use a particular USB port.
                        1. Which type of Duet is it; and is it a genuine UK-manufactured one?

@T3P3Tony by everything works I mean when it’s plugged in all the leds come on and when the power supple is on all the fans and the bltouch come on. I have no way of controlling it. Device manager doesn’t see it. No program sees it. Not yat, not Bossa, not SAM-BA, not anything. At this point I have exhausted all options. I have tried different usb cables, ports, computers, softwares, the works. I am running windows 10. Is there a warranty or something on it. I got it in December from I believe matterhackers.

Is there any sign of damage to any of the chips, in particular U3 (small square chip close to the 5V_EN jumper) or U2?
