      Hello,

I know its possible using 24v PSU to power 12v fans by connecting step down voltage regulator to middle pin.

However my situation is other way around. I have 12v PSU and I have to use 24v fan.
Is connection the same as in first case (can I connect 24v Input to middle pin?) or its gonna fry my board?
Also I will use separate 24v power supply instead step up regulator.

      Thanks
      Arkadiusz

As mentioned before I know how to wire 12v fans with 24v power supply. In my case its 24v FAN and 12v Power supply.

if you use a step up converter that should work.

you can also try just running your 24v fans on the 12v supply. they will run slower but also less noisy.

Do you think that separate 24v power supply will work instead of step up converter? These step up converters are unreliable and fail quite often.

I use 24v fan because its specific suction blower fan and I need it for my application. I'm not building 3d printer, its going to be xyz positioning stage.

@arkadiusz It will work but you need to connect it ground to the 12V ground, both power supplies need to have common ground.

It's possible; but buying a 12V fan is almost certainly going to cost less and be easier than any other solution.
