I'm sure there is a simple answer to this question, and I did try to find it before just posting here, but I could not discern the answer from the documentation.

I have a smart effector, and no matter how many times I run G32 and G29, my hotend won't extrude unless i babystep it up in Z about .400mm I can look and see its really squished down on the bed and obviously no filament will come out until it comes up.

What configuration should I change to make it babystep up after auto-bed calibration?
or do I need to tell it that the bed probe is .4 below true Z = 0?

Or do I need to tell my slicer to print the first layer at .4 Z-height?

      thank you.
