Strange X and Y homing (axis that shouldn't move, move)



  • Hi, having a problem with the X and Y homing.

    Problem, when X axis is going back a few mm, the Y axis also moves slightly in the positive direction and it shouldn’t, there is nothing in the code telling y axis to move!
    Homing the Y axis is even weirder. It homes the first time but it doesn’t move back for a second passage, besides that, when it hits the Y endstop the X axis moves a little bit to the positive direction.
    But when I use the dashboard to move the axis they move as expected, only in the reight direction and only the specified axis.

    the H2 option is not compatible with corexy. delete the h2 part



  • H2 is fine for the Z axis, but for the X and Y axis it's telling it to turn a single motor, which results in diagonal movement on coreXY.

    You don't need H2 on those X and Y moves anyway since it's been homed once already. The movement to backoff the endstop can be done as normal.

    The strange movements in the X and Y stopped and the Y axis goes for a second pass like it should be.
