Magnetic Filament detector: stock level and vs laser

When will this item be back in stock ?
I have the laser filament monitor.
Is this as good as the magnetic one, or just for filament out/jam detection ?
i.e. can the laser be used to compensate/regulate extruder ?Many thanks,

We have received more stock but need to test and program them before listing.
The laser sensor is sensitive to the type of filament you use, PETG especially has issues.
