      I used to use thermo control on my cold section fans, but I switched them to the always-on headers. When they were PWM controlled they were SCREAMING, and now they barely even bother me. Is that normal?

        @gnydick It sounds suspiciously odd (excuse the pun). Might it be that you have a jumper set incorrectly such that Vfan is incorrect for the fans you are using? Eg, 12V being supplied to 24V fans?

          Could the screaming sound have been the PWM frequency, when you were running the fan at less than 100%?

            @dc42 sorry, screaming was used as a colloquialism to mean REALLY fast.
