Do you have bed compensation taper enabled?

The Printer has worked before. As i wanted to optimize the precision by calibrating my probes, i found this phenomenon.

All Probes are Industrial Style probes with very high precision and repeatability. But the probes do Not generate the Numbers shown. And IT does Not Matter If or how good/Bad the printer performs, when the Numbers shown don't Match Up.

I have done a simple bed Leveling and moved the system to a XY Position. Then i moved my z-axis Up/down and get different values for the Z-compensation. my probes are not involved at this time.

                      Bed compensation taper is enabled...

                      But... I am Not printing.

Did i Understand this Feature the wrong way? I thought this slowly tapers Off the applied compensation while printing, to get to an even Plane any time in the Future. Not when measuring or calibrating and Not printing.

I did several probes before and could Not explain the values of the bed compensation variing between 0.032 and 0.031. every measurement with a different result. Not consistent at all.

That's easy to verify. Turn off compensation taper and repeat your experiment.
