Driver 3 fried on first move
-
I've been working on my new build and got my hemera extruder mounted and then wired. Driver current was set at 800 as I didn't change it from my initial config. 24v from PSU. Motor was wired correctly making sure with multimeter. I go to make my first test extrude move with no filament and the motor skips then I get a driver 3 short to ground and overheating, driver shut off error. I could smell smoke so I look at the board and felt the driver and burnt my finger on it. I immediately unplug from the wall, disconnect my motor from the duet and plug back in. Still the same errors and driver getting hot with nothing plugged into it. I checked all my wiring and everything was fine.
Thanks for the help guys

Use an ohmmeter to check the resistance between pairs on the hemera extruder stepper motor.

@Danal I had checked that before I even plugged in to make sure wiring was correct. Now the driver gets errors and heats up with out anything plugged in
