i was wiring the part cooling fan and i wire get loose and hit something on the PCB.
The BL touch start like I've just powered the printer. The WiFi connection disappear, on the Panel due 7i i have "Connecting "... but nothing happen. I've connected the board to PC via USB ... no port it's working. The SD card it's working fine.
The Main processor it' getting quite hot and all the end-stop red led are on.
I've tried to erase the board, remove everything without success. Any ideas?

        please see https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/What_to_do_if_your_Duet_won't_respond

Between the endstop lights being on and the processor getting hot I'd say you at a minimum need a new processor.

Note also the large dark spot in the center of the processor ..... a sure indication of a problem. The only more definite sign of a problem would be a crater in the top of the processor.

            ... a sure indication of a problem.

I woudn't say its a 100% indication in general. It could be lighting or residual adhesive from the serial number stickers; i've got processors that look the same here and work fine.

But this processor in particular is in silicone heaven in any case.

@jens55 I'm quite sure that the centre of the processor start to " melt"

@SilviuZ Sorry your Duet has failed. Were you were wiring the fan up with VIN power on? We advise not to do such wiring with power on for just this reason. Unfortunately it sounds like you shorted 12 or 24V to 3.3V, and it’s caused a failure of the processor. There’s very little that can be done, unless you have access to hot air SMT reflow tools, as you’d need to replace the processor for a start, and possibly a number of other components. It will quickly become uneconomical to repair if you cannot do it yourself.

The warranty for official Duet boards (as opposed to clones) is for 6 months, and does not cover failures of the board due to user error; see https://www.duet3d.com/warranty

However, if you contact sales@duet3d.com, we have a small stock of refurbished Duets that may reduce the cost of replacement.
