Hey, is there a way to connect Led's to the Duet 2 Wifi and control them in some way via Gcode? For example, if I want a Led to turn on when the extruder heats up. I know the Duet has a few IO pins like an Ardunio and maybe I can make my printer look a little better. 🙂

        Yes.

Depending on the type of LED, you will very likely need an "intermediate", anything from a simple transistor to an entire board.

A simple way to make leds turn on when the hotend is heating up is using a pwm fan output and turn it on thermostatically once the hotend reaches a certain temperature just like the fan that cools the hotend. I just control my leds using a fan slider through the duet web control on a fan output.

You would just need the leds to use the same voltage as your fans do if you chose to do it that way.
