Hello, I am trying to upload firmware from 3.01-RC10 to 3.1.0 on a Duet 2 wifi. The web interface has been saying "uploading" for a very long time, more than an hour. The package I am trying to upload is "Duet2and3Firmware-3.1.0.zip".

Any advice on what I may be doing wrong here? The Duet is still running just fine and is reachable via web control, etc.

Thanks in advance for any insights!

If anyone experiences the same issue, I was able to get past it by reverting to Duet Web Control 1 and uploading in that interface, rather than in Duet Web Control 2.

Curious if you now upload the zip file after it's all been updated if it works correctly?

This might possibly be related to this issue https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/14945/editing-large-gcode-file-connection-drop. It has been fixed in the forthcoming 3.1.1 release of DWC. It affected Chrome browser but not FireFox, and was caused by a workaround for another issue that only affected Safari. If only all browsers behaved the same!

@dc42 Sounds correct, I was using the new MS Edge browser, which is based on Chrome. @Phaedrux I am reluctant to mess with it presently as I need to keep the printer printing, and as @dc42 seems to have already addressed this in 3.1.1.
Just out of curiosity, is Firefox the preferred browser for DWC? I am not particularly wedded to any browser and am happy to use whatever gets priority from the development team.

            Thanks again!

I just ran into this ... and I am running the latest Firefox.

<sigh> .... any way to fix this that doesn't involve going back to an ancient version of DWC

Opening another web browser window will get me the version prior to the upgrade attempt without the hang but since some files were extracted, I do not know if I have a mix of files that will do weird things or if nothing of the upgrade has been applied.
DC42 - is it safe to run the old version after the barfed attempt at the upgrade ?

If you ran DWC 1.22.6 in the past then it will still be on your SD card. To access it, in your browser address bar enter the IP address of the Duet followed by /reprap.htm
