How can I add a G28 to the STOP.g so that when I hit it, it homes instead of sitting in the filament getting all gummed up?

If you mean when you hit emergency stop, that function deliberately turns off everything. You wouldn't want to move motors because the reason for the stpo might be because the motors are doing something dangerous.

The correct way to cancel a print is to use the Pause button followed by the Cancel button.
