Looking to purchase the new bltouch, the question I have is whether I need to solder any thing to bring the voltage down or scrape anything of.

The website mentions that the bltouch is switchable between 5v/3.3v in the software.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

No you don't need to make any alterations to the BLTouch. If you are using it with RepRapFirmware 3 on a Duet WiFi/Ethernet/Maestro board then you need to enable the pullup resistor on the input port in the M558 command in config.g.

so i could just use the bltouch out of the box be it a 5v bed levelling sensor, would this also work for the 5v inductive probes.

I currently have duet wifi with the removable fuse. I tke it your referring to the bltouch v3

          Thnks you in advance

Yes out of the box it should work fine. Though I'm not sure if anyone has reported on using the 2020 version yet, so do let us know if you have any issues, but if it's anything like the past v2 and v3 versions it should work without issue with no alteration.
