Duex5 not showing in diagnostics

    The 2x steppers (extruders) patched into my duex5 are not responding at all. I also have a BL touch + 1 extra servo plugged into the duex which are working perfectly. I have read that a M115 diagnostic should be showing the duex5 but is not. On reading other threads I have followed the advise given and checked that the wiring is all snug and correct. I have also checked the ribbon cable and all appears well with this. The steppers were working previously even though the duex5 was not showing up on the diagnostics so I though if it wasn't broke then don't try to fix it.

  • WOW!! Not one single comment. Is this not being seen or has it been put in the 'too hard' basket?
    If anyone see's this thread I would like to add that I could only get the servos to work on the duex by dropping the "!" in M950 S0 C"duex.pwm4" for the bl touch and M950 S3 C"duex.pwm2" for the tool changing servo. ANY help would be much appreciated!

    I'm sorry. Most likely your DueX is faulty, although there is a chance it could be the ribbon cable instead (and a very small chance that it could be the Duet). Please contact your supplier to have the DueX5 and ribbon cable replaced under warranty.

    That's correct, you do not need to use ! in the pin name when connecting servos to the duex.pwm# pins, or when connecting them to exp.heater# pins on the expansion connector.

  • @Phaedrux My apologies for sounding impatient. You guys are always so professional and patient. I watched replies happen all around my post and thought that maybe it wasn't worth a look in from you guys (mistakenly so).
    I have a new duex 5 and is is being recognised by the diagnostics. Success.
    I am having trouble getting my extruder steppers to work but I will start a new topic as this one is solved!
