Please let me know if there is a way to do it, Ill sign a waiver if required.
I am running a 500c and working on a 700c setup for aluminium.

My current hot end can easily reach and keep the temperature but for the moment I have to run external controller..

You can set the max with M143

        Or am I missing something?

*** Also please don't reply directly here, send me a pm as I don't want to be responsible if someone else do it on a normal 3d printer and burn down his house..

@Phaedrux to give you an exact number, in the m307 setting, if I run my heater at 50% I am at a1594 and the maximum allowed is 1499. havent tested at 100% yet.

The duty cycle won't affect that much at all - it is the max predicted temperature if the fimrware fails and the heater goes always on.

Athough there is likely some variance between runs so you might get under 1499 after a few tries.

The other option is to edit the firmware to raise the limit (or drop the voltage/add a series resistnace just for the calibration)

@bearer well yes it is what I am looking for, I need the firmware 'error alarms' to be disabled or modified so it fit my hotends..
