UNSOLVED RRF3: PanelDue STOP function results in a false error message.

  • (This issue came up in https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/17845/how-to-upgrade-from-2-05-1-to-3-1-1/37 which has a wider scope. I am closing the other one and moving a summary of the issue to this new thread. You can find more details in the other thread.)

Symptoms: when clicking on the STOP button on PanelDue, the duet sends back a false error message (see below, the actual numeric value changes).

Looking at the paneldue serial communication suggests two related issues:

    1. The duet reacts to the 0xf0 0x0f before confirming that the checksum is correct.
    2. The duet treats the rest of the paneldue transition and a new command and reports and error.

    PanelDue version:

    RRF Version:
Firmware Name: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet
Firmware Electronics: Duet WiFi 1.02 or later
    Firmware Version: 2.05.1 (2020-02-09b1)
    WiFi Server Version: 1.23
    Web Interface Version: 1.22.6

  • Adding another image from bearer@, it shows the relationship between the checksum 192 sent from PanelDue and the numeric value in the error message.

  • Any fix for this problem?

I still get the error message each time I use the STOP button.
