HELP
-
morning.....looks like i have full control
-
Step 1 Adjusting the Z probe height
Home all 3 axis, and level the bed. Run G32 at least 3 times, so your bed is as level as it can be.
Run G28 Z to return to the center of the bed. Your bed will move to Z10.
Run the following gcode, so we can move below Z0 if needed:
G92 Z12
Place a sheet of paper on your bed.
Using the jog buttons in duet web control, slowly jog down until your nozzle just contacts the paper (slide the paper around until you can feel the nozzle touching it. Use the smallest steps as you get close)
Remove the piece of paper, and run the "Probe Point" macro (click on the macro and it will ask you if you want to run it)
The printer will re-home Z, stopping when the probe triggers. While attempting Probe Point in macro this is what i get in the console

@camassey I followed the link in the error report you posted (glad to see you’ve got the hang of code formatting), downloaded the ‘Probepoint’ file from Dropbox. It contains:
G92 Z0 G1 Z5 G30 S-1
Remember, these aren’t our instructions. Isn’t there a forum for support with the guide you’ve following?

Thanks for educating me.....my little sister knew what you where saying and walked me threw it THANKS sis.
Yes there is a forum but it is like the wild west answer coming at you from all direction very overwhelming . This is much more civilized, just reloaded the macro file think it is in there now.How would i check -
Not that we don't want to help you (we do, and will continue to), but there are some Railcore specific community resources as well that you might want to pursue.
They have a discord server (basically a chat room) that might be helpful for getting realtime help.
If you've already seen all that and prefer this, that's cool too.

Thanks for not kicking me to the curb yet.Every one has been great and I have learned a great deal the railcore discord may not be so overwhelming now.I will head there eventually
Every thing looks like it working and i extruded some filament this morning
I guess the next step is to print something OH NO more questions. Thanks again everyone

Well that didn't take long I forgot about the slicer. Am I correct in thinking I need to get the printers specs into the slicer?I have been told Cura will work its what i have been using with the Ender so I know my way around it.
Is this a basic file drag and drop or a manual event? -
Well you've got two options, find someone who already has a working cura printer profile and print settings for the railcore and get them to share it with you, or manually creating a custom printer entry in cura and populating it with the relevant details and then taking a default print profile and customizing it.
I'd try and find a profile from someone else as a starting point unless you're a dab hand with the slicer.
In fact, it looks like they already have a repository: https://github.com/railcore/slicers (though may still want to ask if anyone has a recent one)
