NPN inductive endstop 5v to 3.3v
-
I suggest the same wiring as for an NPN inductive Z probe, see https://duet3d.com/wiki/Connecting_a_Z_probe#NPN_output_normally-open_inductive_or_capacitive_sensor. However, as your endstops can work on 5V, it should be safe to power them from 5V and connect the output directly to the endstop input without the diode.
Hi based on that article would this work? https://za.rs-online.com/mobile/p/rectifier-schottky-diodes/7044013/

Anybody?

@eviltoy, Use a small-signal Schottky diode such as BAT43 or BAT85

I get that but my question was more around whether the diode I linked to would work for the application as I have them in bucket loads
-
Well it's not a Schottky type, but David mentions that you can get away with a normal small signal diode.
I would say try it before connecting it to your Duet, measure the voltage you get… -
You can try it, but that's not a Schottky diode so the forward voltage may be too high for it to work.

Cool will do tonight thanks so much. Its my first duet so dont want to mess it up

Right so the ones I had were an utter fail and didnt work. So I am getting the right ones. Just to confirm I need to get either one of the following :

Thanks so much will be getting them then
