No Response to USB
-
I have managed to install the Duet 2 Wifi Board in my ender 3, along with the config files.
All motors and end stops work, along with BL touch and bed heater, but I was having no response from the hot end heater.
I then lost connection to the duet on my computer browser and YAT terminal and haven't been able to get it back to diagnose the problem.
After trying different USB cables, reinstalling drivers, etc I read the forums which pointed me at the green led, which isn't lit on my board,
I have tried disconnected all cables to eliminate any bad earth and still no green led ( both red led's are lit).
If I power the board I also get the Blue Led.
Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks
Steve

How far along do you get following this?

@Phaedrux I have checked for the green led, which is not lit.
I have disconnected all cables from the board to eliminate any shorted grounds and reconnected the USB, but still no green led and no com port available in Yat.

Is it possible the bed heater was shorted?
Were you connected to VIN and USB power at the same time?

Did you get through this part?

Hi
Yes I have done all of that.
I have just carried out the erase process and the device now tries to connect to my computer but the computer cannot establish an address for the duet, and says that the device may be malfunctioning
Thanks

but still no green led
thats a hardware failure. something bringing the 3.3v regulator down, if removing the SD card doesn't help, odds are repairs are needed.

I suspected as much, I have filled in a warrantee claim - only purchased the board last week so hopefully all will be sorted.
I'm glad I went with an original duet rather than a clone, i'm sure they will sort it out and live up to their reputation
