      @evilfknpotato said in Printing too high.:

      is it worth upgrading to v3.0?

      I wouldn't think it would make a difference but I also wouldn't have thought moving from 2.0 to 2.05 would have changed anything either.

      Going to rrf3 would require changes to your config file. If you wanted to test it you should back up your current config files and then generate a new config from the online tool for rrf3 to test with.

          try changing the M569

          M569 P0 S1 D3 V40 ; physical drive 0 goes backwards
          M569 P1 S1 D3 V40; physical drive 1 goes backwards
          M569 P2 S0 D3 V40; physical drive 2 goes forwards
          M569 P3 S1 D3 V40 ; physical drive 3 goes backwards

          print the output of
          M569 P0 afterwards

                @evilfknpotato

                in newer version of the firmware the switchover from stealthchop to spreadcycle was implemented.

                spreadcycle is louder

                above like 10mm it will switch to spreadcycle by default.

                this increases the limit.

                however stealthchop is weaker, so it might cause layer shifts.
                if your extruder is skipping, i would suggest that you switch that over to spreadcycle
                by just changing

                  @Veti very interesting as I didn’t think that sound was normal, even the stock creality board sounded whiny but not like grinding like this Spreadcycle. Thank you @Phaedrux and @Veti for your help it is now printing beautifully
