      On behalf of the Duet3D team I am pleased to announce the release of the next beta software bundle 3.2.0-beta4 including RepRapFirmware, DuetWebControl, and DuetSoftwareFramework. If you are using expansion boards with a Duet 3, you must upgrade the corresponding firmware as well. The new DSF packages are now available on the unstable package feed and they can be installed using sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get upgrade.

      RRF upgrade notes: https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/blob/v3-dev/WHATS_NEW_RRF3.md
      DWC upgrade notes: https://github.com/Duet3D/DuetWebControl/blob/v3.2-dev/WHATS_NEW.md
      DSF upgrade notes: https://github.com/Duet3D/DuetSoftwareFramework/blob/dev/WHATS_NEW.md

      If you experience problems, please create a new post and put [3.2-b4] in the title unless a related post already exists in the Beta Firmware category.

      EDIT: Known issue with this bundle: users of Duet 3 with attached single board computer have reported being unable to update Duet 3 expansion and tool board firmware using this firmware bundle. Workarounds: (1) update tool and expansion board firmware to 3.2beta4 before upgrading RRF and DCS; or (2) switch to standalone mode to update tool and expansion board firmware

          @PCR It isn't implemented in DWC yet but we'll add it to the job file list soon. Here an example what a thumbnail generated by PrusaSlicer looks like:

            Updated using sbc without errors. But I suspect that the EXP3HC failed. Get lots of:
            Error: M569: Response timeout: CAN addr 1, req type 6018, RID=1

            and similar for all expansion board related commands.

              Error: Firmware file Duet3Firmware_EXP3HC.bin not found

                  @dc42 It is...
                  /opt/dsf/sd/sys/Duet3Firmware_EXP3HC.bin

                  -rwxrwxr-- 1 dsf  dsf  123K Nov 26 20:36 Duet3Firmware_EXP3HC.bin

                      @dc42 Does it make sense to test with the sbc disconnected?

                        Yes you can try updating it in standalone mode, then reconnect the SBC once the expansion board is updated.

                          That's odd, I did test SBC file transfers and fixed a related issue in the firmware just before the release. I'll try to reproduce and fix it but I'm afraid I won't be able to look into it before Sunday.

                            @chrishamm Worked fine in stand alone mode

                            Duet EXP3HC firmware version 3.2-beta4 (2020-11-26)

                            So I have no excuse to by an Atmel-ICE.
