      Since I realized all those apt update - upgrade where useless since it didn't work since may, I tried doing it manually with m997 and I get "duet3_sbciap_mb6hc.bin is missing".
      I looked at all my other 6hc and it is the same everywhere.
      What is that file and where can I get that ?

        To update the SBC beyond the most recent stable release you need to add the unstable package server and then update. That's where the file will come from.

        See here for adding the unstable branch on the Pi:

            Well if you're not wanting to go to 3.2 RC2 but it's already flashed on the boards you can go back to 3.1.1.

            3.2 final release is near.

            sorry you're having a frustrating experience. It's a complex board, but with some patience and a plan anything is surmountable.

              @Phaedrux Sorry I don't want to be mean, I'm kinda loosing my mind right now;
              I'm engineering parts for cars and machinery, I don't use linux or program stuff at all.
              I bought those boards because my machines are highly custom and the seller told me they where the easiest to use..

                  can you post an output of M115 so we can see what firmware you're currently on?

                      Perhaps it would help to take a step back and come up with a plan on how to best integrate them with your machine.

                      The Duet3 by itself is exactly the same as a Duet 2 Ethernet. You don't need to use the Pi with it to get started. The SBC interface is definitely on the bleeding edge right now.

                      You can setup an SD card to function exactly like a Duet2 would use and be up and running. Adding a Pi later becomes a bit easier.

                        @Phaedrux well if I can get it to stabilize I just won't touch it anymore. I had to correct the issue with m999 not working with ext board asap because when you have over 60lbs of torque going wild parts start flying everywhere. it is the only reason I actually tried to force update.
                        I just got one of the board to accept the last rc2, Ill see if it work then I will just "freeze state" on my setup and stick with it..
