Ik have my 12v 350w ATX PSU connected to my duet2wifi
Therefore i connected thé 12v cables to thé main power supply,
Thé purple cable to thé 5v_in thé green to thé ps_on and connecteda gnd. (All 3 on thé pins next to main power supply)
Then i switches thé Jumper tob external 5v_in.

Ik do measure 5v between 5v_in and gnd but thé board (wifi) does not start up

If it short between ps_on and gnd, thé 12v does start up thé board (but not thé wifi since they Jumper is mover)

      What do it miss here?

        Have you removed JP9 / I_5V_EN and placed a jumper on JP10 / E_5V_EN?

        See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Power_Wiring#Section_5V_Options for details

Does it power up from USB?

Take a close look at D14

If the jumper is set and it works from USB then the diode D14 is the only possible fault as far as I can tell.

However it might not be possible to visually spot a defect. A well lit close up picture might enable someone to spot something.

However, you could move the 5v stand by from the 3pin PS_ON connector to any of the other pins labeled 5V on the wiring diagram as a work around. I think I would have used the pin on the E_5V_EN jumper furtherst away from the bed fuse and Vin connector, as it won't be needed for anything else. Please note if you do that, you are loosing the reverse polarity and back feeding protection the diode was meant to offer.

Oh, and if its a genuine duet purchased from an authorized reseller within the last 6 months, then I would see if it qualified for a warranty replacement before doing anything particularly unorthodox.

Happy to help! Just for curiosity I'd like to see a picture of the diode if/when you have time; in case its possible to see whats wrong with the diode or soldering of the diode.
