If I sound stupid folks please be gentle...

I believe my new Duet 2 WIFI board is up to date with Firmware 3.2 and is connecting to my LAN. It is connected to USB for power and nothing else. The blue light next to the WIFI component is steady on. I am on an IMAC using Serial Tools says WIFI module is connected to access point "lanaccount", IP address 192.168,0,102.

That's as far as I have gotten.

My internet access is through my cell phone hotspot. I do not have any other internet access and do not know a way to connect my hotspot to my LAN without purchase of additional equipment.

      My question is this:

Do I need internet access on my network to connect my IMAC to the duet using Duet Web Control?

      I appreciate your response!

      Ross

no internet access is required assuming the duet and iMac are on the same network

Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is

          Thank you for your response...

What am I doing wrong? Can you tell me how to connect? Could I be missing files to make this work?

@rossfree21 your Duet and computer need to be on the same network for them to be able to communicate. It sounds to me like you've got your Duet connected to your mobile phone hotshot, but your computer connected to your home router. Is that correct?
Can you connect your computer to your mobile hotspot? If not you'll need to connect your Duet to your home WiFi network (definitely the preferred route!)

Ha... thank you for your reply!

I am bouncing back and forth between my hotspot and my lan. I'm scouring the internet for solutions using my hotspot, then disconnecting from my hotspot and connecting to my lan through wifi. Back and forth. All this on Safari.

I've also tried using Chrome with no success.

Could I be missing files on the SD card?

@rossfree21 said in Cellphone Hotspot and DWC:

                hotspot

android hotspot at least enforce client isolation on all versions i've tried meaning you can't access other devices using the same hotspot. more details on hotspot?

Could I be missing files on the SD card?

possible, but you should get a http404 error if thats the case. you could review the content of the /www folder on the sd card, should contain index.htm.gz + some more.

                  Thank you for your help!

I am disconnecting from my cellphone hotspot when trying to connect to the duet through my LAN. So I don't think the hotspot is creating the problem (unless I need internet connection while I connect to the duet).

I've been working on this for days... knowing this is probably a five minute solution for someone. This is the stuff I get stuck on.

Yesterday I finally got firmware 3.2 loaded onto my duet 2 wifi board. I'm including pictures of the files I have loaded onto the SD card.
