I purchased a NEMA8 motor rated at 4.0V, 0.7A, and 5.7 ohm resistance per phase. Its bipolar.

What should I put in M906 if I were to use this motor (for the x motor in this example)?

M906 X700 or do I put X1400 because its bipolar?

Try M906 X500 and increase it to 600 if you need more torque. Motors run at their full rated current get rather hot.
