I am using an external 5V power supply for my duet2 wifi and a relais (controlled via PS_ON) to switch mains for the 24V supply.
Do I have to connect the external 5V supply to my duex5 or can I just connect the 24V supply?

The Duex 2 and Duex 5 are expansion boards for the Duet 2 (WiFi and Ethernet).

@phaedrux Thank you. Yes, I have looked at the documentation beforehand. I was unsure if I have to use the external 5V input on the duex if I am using the external 5V input on the duet itself.

To avoid confusion/errors I am now just using the external 5V on both the duex and the duet. Everything is working great.

Are you getting the Ethernet or the WiFi module? As far as i know, its one or the other. And prints are loaded onto and ran from the SD card regardless. You could unmount the SD card, put your prints on it and remount it.But you'd still need a way to get to the Web Control to run your paths, the WiFi or the Ethernet. Unless you have a panaldue which also has its own SD card.
