Wireless Bed Temp sensor via Temp Daughterboard connector?
-
Hi All,
Odd question, here we go...Background, I have a polar printer that has a slip ring to provide power to the rotating bed for a 240v AC heater mat that I'm currently intending to control with a stand alone "bang bang" temperature controller.
I can't get a wired temperature probe signal back to the duet as there aren't any spare contacts on the slip ring, and I'm guessing it'd be too noisy too.
Can I use a remote Arduino on the bed to take temperature readings and control the heater mat, then a Bluetooth link to another Arduino that connects to the Temp daughter board connector and reads the duet bed heater PWM to relay back to the remote Arduino?
If so what is the temp daughterboard to duet ethernet IO and message structure?
Just thought experimenting with potential solutions atm, open to any other thoughts / approaches.
Any constructive thoughts would be much appreciated.
Cheers
