Bed thermistor setup
-
Hi, I just setup my Duet wifi 2 with the 3.2.2 firmware on an ender3. Probably overkill but I like to tinker lol. I checked with M115 to confirm. My hotend temp reads fine but the bed temp says 273.1. From what I've read that means I have an open circuit. I switched the hotend thermistor to the bed pins and hooked up a new thermistor as well to see if it was a bad thermistor but no luck. This leads me to believe it's a config issue. I've used this board before on the 2. Xx firmware without issue.so I don't think it's the duet itself. Here is my config.g. any help would be appreciated as I'm going crazy trying different things in config.g.

Can you provide the results of sending M122 and M98 P"config.g" please?
Are you using the stock ender 3 thermistor?
Where exactly are you connecting the thermistor?

Could it be something with my bltouch? I think that's where that heater3 errors is coming from.

@ross said in Bed thermistor setup:
M307 H3 A-1 C-1 D-1 ; Disable heater on PWM channel for BLTouch
Remove that line. Not needed in RRF3
@ross said in Bed thermistor setup:
G29 s1 P"heightmap.cvs" ; load the mesh
Also remove that. Best not to load the heightmap until after the Z axis has been homed with the probe.

Also looks like the wifi server wasn't updated. I suggest you upload the full zip file again to the system tab in DWC just to make sure everything is up to date. Don't extract it first, just upload the whole file.

@phaedrux ok I did that but bed thermistor still says -273.1. And thanks for the help.
-
If you swap the bed thermistor and the hotend thermistor does the -273 follow the thermistor or stay with the port?
-
@phaedrux so if I plug either temp probe into e0 they work but either on e1 I get the -273.1
-
@ross e1temp is not defined. e0temp and bedtemp are. bedtemp pins are here:

@droftarts well look at that! If you plug it in the correct place it works, who would have thought lol.
Thank you for wasting your time on me. -

LOL glad you figured it out.
-
@phaedrux he did say e1temp in the post after you asked that! Guess we all missed it for a while!

@droftarts yea I had it in the e1 port not realizing it was for a second extruder. I guess that's why it's labeled "E" for extruder lol. I haven't used the printer for a while and messed up the connection. It's all good now doing an auto tune pid as we speak. Thanks again guys.
