Fan control with F parameter on Duex2
-
I recently wired in my Duex2 and moved one of my part cooling fans from the Duet Ethernet over to the Duex2.
This is a 404020 blower fan and, when connected to the Duet Ethernet, I used this to define it as a thermostatically controlled fan:
M106 P2 T40 H2 S125 F10
The fan would not operate correctly until I used F10. Moving it over to the Duex2, I've mirrored this config over:
M106 P3 T40 H2 S125 F10
However, it seems that the F10 has no effect for me. Whether I define the F10 or not, the fan spurts into motion, then immediately stops and makes the same high pitched whine, identical to the sound it originally made when connected to the Duet Ethernet prior to configuration of F10.
Is the F parameter supposed to work the same on the Duex2?

The F parameter doesn't work on fans connected to the DueX, because the PWM frequency of the DueX fan outputs is not adjustable.

Thanks for the confirmation. That's a shame. It might be useful for reference to add here:

Done.
