Z end stops



  • Ok I am building a corexy with a fixed build plate and 3 z steppers driving the gantry independently. how do I get the end stop switches placed at the top of the z towers to stop the z+ movement. it just runs straight through them.

    That line defines the type of end stop switches you are using. Check the Wiki for your type and which settings to use.



  • I just need to get it to home up to the max endstops and use the probe just for bed leveling. I am not good with any of this stuff so learning as I go.



  • ok changed homez to this and it is working but one switch
    kills all 3 z motors so the do not level the 3 independent screws.
    how do i get them to react independantly?

  • Your homing file won't change bed leveling. Your Bed file will. You will need to define your probe being used for bed leveling and put that into your Bed file. If everything is done right, telling the Duet where your lead screws are located, and having it probe those locations, it will adjust accordingly after clicking on Auto Calibration or typing in G32. I don't have a setup like yours, so I can't give you an exact how to, but I can hopefully lead you in the right direction.



  • Thanks for the help. I am new to this all. I am coming from delta and repeater firmware. so it is not even close to what I am used to.bed and hot ends go in this week so hopefully by Saturday I can get a first print. I also need to find a way to adjust the timing on the leadscrews. I think they are off from about 5-10mm from each other. that will level everything out.
