      Hello,
While I'm not new to 3D Printing, I am to using microcontrollers and embedded software. I was planning on getting the Duet 2 Wifi and Duex 5 to control 7 steppers, 2 heaters, and 2 thermistors. However, I also have an OTS vacuum pump I want to control via a relay. If I attach the Duex 5 to the Duet 2 Wifi what pins would be the best use on the Duet to control a relay for the pump? If even possible?

      Cheers,
      JRCL

What will the pump be used for? You can use pretty much any pin you want to control a relay, but the most obvious would be a fan or heater.

what Phaedrux said is probably best. I'd check the schematics for an output with 'flyback diode' or add a flyback diode across the coil pins (with reversed orientation).
Reason is, the coils magnet field can create high voltages when switched off. (think: ignition coil and sparkplug)
Maybe the relais you've picked already has a flyback diode incorporated?
