      hi,

On 1 of my printers, I get an over-temperature warning for drives 5 & 6 (I have a Duet wifi 2 & Duex 5 running at the latest firmware/web interface) when I press the emergency button. I find this very strange as I do not use these drives at all. I observed that I only get this error when I press the emergency button for the first 1 after startup (I always turn the power off when the printer is not being used).

Can anyone relate to this issue?

      Kind regards,
      Max

@tricep-terry I get this on my Duet WiFi when I shut off the 24V supply, but leave the 5V on (I have an external 5V PSU). My only guess is that the sudden drop in voltage triggers the warning to be flagged, but as it's only temporary it doesn't get repeated. I think I asked about it on the Forum a couple of years ago and the consensus was that it wasn't an issue, and that it was probably not possible for RRF to reliably suppress the warnings without causing other issues, or taking a lot of time/effort.

My printer has been running like this for a few years and no problems, so I doubt anything to worry about 🙂

If you're not using the drivers you can disable them with M569 P# R-1 where # is the driver number. I think that should stop the warning.
